The Lane Initiator is plugged into the IVDU and place directly in front of the muzzle of the firers weapon. Each time the weapon is fired, the Lane Initiator senses the shock wave, and converts it into a compatible signal which is sent to the AROS.
This information can then be used for shot matching, reaction times and lane discrimination.
