Our Team

Together with our international staff, Polytronic employs more than 50 staff members at the Headquarters in Muri AG, Switzerland. Our subsidiary in the UAE adds another 270 members to the team. A team committed to support our global customers, day by day. They all contribute to the overall success of our company, with motivation and passion.

1966    
Founding of POLYTRONIC AG by Claude Thalmann, ETH/SIA physicist in the Zurich Egg

1969    
Polytronic presents the world’s first automatic marking system to the market. Patent filed.

1970    
Relocation of Headquarters to Muri, Aargau

1976    
First use of Polytronic automatic scoring systems during an international CISM competition in Thun, Switzerland.

1978    
The 42nd Shooting Worldcup in Seoul, Korea, is conducted on Polytronic target systems.

1982    
Founding of Polytronic International AG.

1986    
Expansion into the defence market by presenting its first target for military applications.

1988    
Polytronic’s TG 3000 Electronic Scoring System changes the Swiss Sport Shooting Community.

1990    
Polytronic signs its largest sales contract with the Swiss Army, delivering Tactical Laser Engagement Systems for the Swiss Armed Forces.

1993    
Expansion to the Middle East with electronic scoring systems for Sniper training.

1995    
Induction and first certification of the QM System SN EN ISO 9001

1997    
Former Marketing Director Heinrich Schweizer assumes company leadership

2002    
Acquisition of Australian Defence Industries (ADI) Intellectual Property and taking over the Australian target market by Polytronic.

2006    
Polytronic marks its presence in the European market by delivering a large live-fire range project to Norway.

Release of the latest generation of Electronic Scoring Systems TG 6000 to the Swiss Market
